The Attitudes of Excellence Programâ„¢
Organizational and Leadership Skills Analysis and Action

The Attitudes of Excellence Program™ was developed not only to assist in leadership skills analysis but to deeply assess the organizational and operational health of any organization at every level, to determine a plan for change and improvement, and, most importantly, to accurately and measurably track positive change over time.

Originally developed as a tool for Christian Camps, Attitudes of Excellence™ grew from Gary Wood's 35 years of experience working with a faith-based non-profit organization as a key staff member, member of the board of directors, and ultimately executive director and administrator. This tool has been adapted to work for every organization; corporate, non-profit, faith-based and secular, and has delivered proven results.

Attitudes of Excellence™ is a reliable system to analyze governance, organizational, and operational systems as they are, develop intentional strategies to address areas of weakness, and reliably measure positive change over time as improvement strategies are implemented.

The program is customizable for any organization; however, the basic framework remains the same:

Step One: Analyze Systems

The initial assessment covers a range of key areas such as
  • Leadership
  • Board
  • Policies
  • Finances
and can be administered to as broad a cross-section of organizational members as is deemed necessary, and if desired can be arranged as an anonymous survey.

Step Two: Develop Strategies

Working with our trained coaching team, the results of the organizational, operational and leadership skills analysis are evaluated and codified to create a strategic plan for improvement. This debrief and strategic planning stage is of the utmost importance - without it, the program is merely a survey. The Attitudes of Excellence Program™ is designed to assist deliberate development and improvement in critical areas of operation.

Step Three: Measure Change

Key to the success of any organization-wide strategic improvement is the ability to measure success. This program enables those in leadership to track positive change over time, or in some cases, identify continued or new areas of weakness. This element of the program is critical, as many initiatives peter out as focus and intention are lost. The Attitudes of Excellence Program™ is designed to eliminate this obstacle to growth.
