Sources of Stress

Sources of stress abound. Don't jump to conclusions involving your health and well-being without seeing a doctor to identify causes you may be overlooking. Why is this important? Because you want to deal with causes, not symptoms.

Here is a list of possible causes of stress put together by BioHealth Diagnostics in California. Their

Chronic Stress Response Chart shows you how many things may be possible contributors to adrenal exhaustion.

  • Anger - Fear
  • Worry - Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Guilt
  • Overwork
  • Physical and mental strain
  • Excessive exercise
  • Sleep deprivation
  • Light-cycle disruption
  • Noise pollution
  • Late hours
  • Surgery
  • Trauma/Injury
  • Whiplash - Head injury
  • Inflammation
  • Pain
  • Temperature extremes
  • Toxic exposure
  • Infections
  • Chemicals - Heavy metals
  • Electromagnetic fields
  • Radiation
  • Geophysical
  • Malabsorption
  • Maldigestion
  • Illness
  • Low blood sugar - Poor diet
  • Nutritional deficiencies
  • Inhalant allergies
  • Food reactions
  • Mold

You see how important it is to identify stressors that are impacting you. BioHealth goes on to say, "Constant hyper-stimulation of the adrenal glands ultimately results in adrenal exhaustion. This is the result of being in a prolonged state of stress."

You may have lived with something that hasn't allowed you to be your best for a long period of time. In order to be the most effective leader you can be, you owe it to yourself to be in the best physical and mental health possible. Before you too simply self-diagnose burnout you need all the relevant information to make good decisions.

The point - get checked out by medical professionals to rule out or confirm other contributing factors.
